NCC BANK

Bulwark regularly checks its monthly bank balances before the pay day - usually within the first seven day of the month. And we once found an anamoly in our bank statement. Years back, while checking the bank balance, our Manager - Finance & Accounts was surprised to discover that our bank account has a huge amount money deposited to our account that apparently hadn't been Bulwark's income or any outstanding bills receivables. The Finance & Account Manager called the CEO & MD on the phone and reported the discrepancy. He informed him that the bank made the mistake and that Bulwark didn't earn this revenue. What the CEO disliked about this reporting was that the Finanace & Accounts Manager was whispering on the phone while reporting this incident. The CEO realized that the Manager wanted, other office colleagues must not know the incident. The CEO immediately took notice that the Finanace & Account Manager is yet to be fully in tune with the two Corporate Philosophies Bachee Group has been practising since inception in 1991. The CEO instantly requested the Fin. & Acct. Manager to record the incident in a letter to the Bank Manager and to make sure that the Bank knows the entry error of that big amount in our account - not until the Bank has received our letter. This helped Bulwark in keeping our official history of NO DISHONESTY and RESPECT FOR ALL. After a few days, the Bank Manager called and gladly thanked the CEO, emphasizing that even though bank audit would find out where this large amount was wrongfully posted, but Bulwark's decision and action have definitively saved the job of the bank staff who made the mistake. The Bank branch have been continuing to favor with Bulwark's transactions, prompt services, and information sharing.

Deadbody sent to Dinajpur during a Summer Day

During the late-1990s, on a Summer midnight, one of the motorcycle-riding Security In-Charges of Bulwark, a retired Lance Corporal from the Army (name withheld), went to visit our night duty security posts, if the staff on duty were alert or otherwise. His task was to take note of anyone not alert. On that night, his assigned task area was the Tejgaon Indstrial Area - as he had been riding the official motorcycle. While passing through the Tejagon-Gulshan Link road, he failed to escape a head-on collision with the overspeeding truck coming from the opposite direction. It turned out to be a fatal accident. The CEO, on receiving a call from the onduty police officer from Tejgaon Police Outpost, rushed to the spot. By the time the CEO reached the accident site, police wireless had already informed the Dinjapur distict police of the accident and requested them to inform the relatives of the deceased Lance Corporal at his permanent address that was found in the ID Card in his pocket. By next midday, his relatives reached Dhaka from Dinajpur. The relatives were taken to the morgue at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where the post-mortem report was prepared. They were also handed over the amount of money the deceased had with Bulwark. The new issue that came up was the relatives were not solvent enough to pay for the carriage of the deadbody up to their home in Dinajpur. And it was more than 12 hours the deadbody had not been buried and decomposition process had already started allegedly in six hours after death. And the Summer day was quite hot. It was a good gesture that Bulwark approved a garnt from its Employee Welfare Fund to pay for the rental fare of an Air-Conditioned microbus, the cost of the wooden coffin and cloths, and to pay also for several pounds of tea-leaves to keep the deadboy covered by the dried tea-leaves. By midnight, the deadbody reached Dinajpur - after a janaza prayer, the deceased was buried in the already-prepared grave in his community graveyard. Bulwark, whenever recalls this accident and the sad ending of his life, prays for the departed Soul.

COVID killed BULWARK's sincerest persons - went on leave with cough and

CORONA virus, in one hand, has been extremely controversial as it didn't affect the children. Bulwark's defense-retired, most of them in their middle age, have had experiences in and outside the country of their hardship - psychological as well as physical. During their service tenure, they had been resilient enough to tenaciously overcome affects of calamities, such as tidal bores, cyclones, floods, deluge, and similar crises. They daringly encountered and defeated these catastrophic calamities. Bulwark complied with COVID changes and adopted customized work processes. During the lockdown periods, Bulwark disbtributed salaries to their workplaces - as the Clients were unwilling to let our people out of the factory gate for fear that they may be corona-affected on their return to the duty place and inadvertently spread in the clients' premises. Sadly, the CORONA Virus defeated the daring manuvers and stances the same defense-retired. Also, during travel to and from Bulwark's barracks or their living accommodations, many of them. The worst was that most were not attending the phone calls as Bulwark wished to know of their. May Allah blesseth these departed Sould to the best of the Heavens, Ameen.

Fire Incident and Accident

Defense retired people at Bulwark are also re-trained to fight fires using fire-extinguisher. Importantly, Bulwark's focus in not in fighting the fire, rather we focus on preventing fire incidents from happening in the first place, and next, if fire occurs, extinguish it when it is still small and waste not a moment to do this. So, the fire INCIDENTs do not turn to be ACCIDENTs which causes any of these three: (1) Death of human and /or animal (2) Injury /Wound to persons and /or animals, and (3) Damage /Loss to machinery, equipments, tools, documents, and any properties. During a short-leave of absence, one of our defense-retired persons was badly affected in the fire accident in his village home. When the fire occured, reportedly he was buying groceries in the weekly haat/market. His family members couldn't do much to extinguish the fire and it engulfed several properties inside the tin-made hut. While the fire burned most of his clothings, documents, and whatever the cash he left home under his bed, fortunately, no one was hurt or fell victim to fire. Still, theoretically it was an accident. On return from his leave of absence, he applied to Bulwark management narrating his losses and submitted along with it a general diary entry at the Police Station nearest to his village home. Bulwark internally investigated the accident and found it true. The board of directors granted a lump sum amount from the EMPLOYEE WELFARE FUND to partially recover his losses. This is one of the examples of the SUPPORTIVE organization model that Bulwark adopted in a view to truly look after its defense-retired and non-defense admin team members: A Holistic Approach that every Bulwark members trusts in. Thus, Bulwark has traveled up to these many decades of services that are not as prevalent. The bottom line is Bulwark management strives on your (Clients') supports, and thus we are able to devote serious effort, energy, struggle, in achieving our goal of exceeding your satisfactoin, over a long period, against difficulties. Bulwark has remained persistent, vigorous exertions, and strive for success and excellence — rather than profiteering with casual attempts. Therefore, BULWARK remains a valuable ULTIMATE IN SECURITY.

Annual Feast - Popularly termed with a native phrase PRITIBHOJ and by gone phrase BARAKAHANA

Services in DEFENSE Forces, by default, all over the world, have been in a high-stress environment. This is of not just potential of facing Court-Martial, Quarter-Guard (detained in a protected cell), or Dismissal but also highest performance exceeding expecations of Superiors in command. As a means to stress management, the forces have several festivities in addition to the Govt. declared ones (such as, Eidul Fitr and Hadja, etc.) when feasts/Pritibhoj are prepared, cooked, and the food is shared by all ranks by attending the subunit dinning halls. Among the additions to Govt declarations, there are more festivities within a Unit of Command. For example, any Unit of the Forces, usually commanded by an officer of the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, may approve to celebrating a Feast/Pritiboj on their own arrangements. For Example: A battalion or a Squadron has won the championship tropy in the Inter-Unit Boxing Competition, or in any other 12 sports events, usually competed at formation levels (e.g., brigade, division, corps, or Army level). The Master Warrant Officer has the prerogative to request the Commanding officer for approving a Pritibhoj. Commanding Officers justify the causes, hardship underwent by the participants, aspects of the morale of the troops, encouragement for teh future wins, any other factors, and may approve the budget to celebrate with a Pritibhoj. This mostly entails in buying a cow in the first place; it may also be goats or one-fourth of a chicken per person. These festivities perhaps has a inspirational aspect from Napoleaon Bonaparte who asserted: "An Army Marches on its Stomach" - meaning that an army's success depends on its food supply and logistics. This is in line with not just encouraging and motivating for future wins but has formed into a military tradition of celebrating any win through a feast/Pritibhoj. BULWARK embraced this PRITIBHOU tradition right from its completion of first year in operation: 1992. Every year, both Dhaka and Chattogram headquarters celebrate episodes of two different PRITIBHOJes. Summer gets Dhaka Pritibhoj (they drink a glass of Borhani) and Winter Pritibhoj finds Chattogram (all enjoys an Orange). Surely, practising PRITIBHOJ festival in community halls/clubs buttress to keep Bulwark workforce/field-force closer to their military might of discipline, obedience to orders from their organizations, and true care of his duties & responsibilities.
